CEO Recruitment Press Release

The Yolo County Fair Board of Directors invites qualified individuals to submit their application for the CEO position. Interested candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a related field, such as Fairs, Festivals or Event Venue management, Agricultural, or Hospitality.


To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, application, and four professional reference's to ceohr@yolocountyfair.net by 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2023. The application form may be downloaded from the Yolo County Fair website at www.yolocountyfair.net. The Board will review applications and conduct interviews with selected candidates.

About the Yolo County Fairgrounds Year-Round Activities:
The Yolo County Fairgrounds hosts a wide variety of year-round events. Including festivals, automotive shows, corporate, and private events, and youth livestock shows. The Yolo County Fairgrounds is part of the network of California Fairgrounds serving local communities through their annual Fair and in times of community emergency. The Yolo County Fairgrounds is the 40th District Agriculture Association and operates on State of California owned property under the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

Prohibited Items - Yolo County Fair

  • 1 Water bottle per person is allowed MUST BE SEALED.
  • There is no size limit.
  • Homemade snacks are allowed for smaller children and those with medical needs.
  • No other outside food or beverages are allowed.
  • No alcohol of any kind
  • No animals except service animals
  • No bootleg merchandise
  • No cans or glass bottles
  • No sticks or poles
  • No coolers or ice chests
  • No fireworks, horns, noisemakers etc.
  • No paraphernalia or street drugs of any kind
  • No handcuffs, spikes or tire chains
  • No knives of any kind
  • No weapons or guns of any kind
  • No tasers or pepper spray
  • No drones
  • No pamphlet passing out
  • No firearms allowed, except full-time law enforcement officers with proper ID
  • No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, scooters or hover boards
